Teen Christian Intervention

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times? Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.” Matthew 18: 21-22

If you suspect or have confirmed that your teenage son or daughter is experimenting with or abusing substances, you probably have many concerns and questions.  Is this just a phase?  How can I tell what substance they have been abusing or if they are actually addicted to it? When should I be genuinely concerned about their behavior?  How can I help them?  You may be even more alarmed if they are defensive, defiant, or denying it.  The longer the situation has progressed, the more difficult it may be to remain hopeful about the future.  However, remember God’s miraculous transformation of Paul, His gift of grace to all sinners, and his command to forgive generously.

Teens face many pressures at school and in social situations, and trying drugs like meth, inhalants, marijuana, prescription painkillers, alcohol, or other substances may make them feel like they fit in.  Perhaps you are a teen who is concerned about a friend or classmate yet understands these pressures yourself.  Whatever your relationship to the addicted person, their greatest asset when they are so blinded by their addiction is your genuine love and concern for their well-being!

If you are ready to intervene and stop the dangerous and self-destructive trajectory of substance abuse or addiction that you see in a teenager in your life, please call Christian Intervention today. We can help you plan, prepare for, and stage a Christian teen intervention and guide you in your choices for rehab treatment, including Christian teen rehab facilities.  We seek to facilitate communication and healing for everyone whose life is affected by substance abuse or addiction.
