The Keys to a Successful Christian Intervention

Christian drug interventions are not simple: No one “likes” a Christian intervention; no one wants to do another Christian intervention when it’s finished. That said, though, there are several keys to good Christian interventions, and following the keys can ensure the effectiveness of the Christian drug rehab experience.

As noted above, Christian intervention only works if it’s based on honesty. The purpose of Christian intervention is to show the truth, and so those conducting Christian interventions should use care in laying out the facts. If someone is trapped in a cycle of drug abuse, they need to hear the truth. Anything else would be a disservice.

A Christian intervention should be conducted with support, and empathy. The point of a Christian intervention is not to berate the addict, or make them feel guilty for their behavior; the purpose is to show that there is a problem, and encourage the addict/alcoholic to seek Christian drug treatment for it. As much as you might be tempted to turn a Christian intervention into an airing of grievances: Don’t. In the end, you will be better off for your restraint.

Finally, successful Christian interventions are done in times of calm. An argument is not the time to begin a Christian intervention. Remember, a Christian intervention is only geared towards getting drug addicts into Christian drug rehab programs.

You don’t have to do a Christian intervention alone. Professional Christian intervention facilitators can counsel you through the process, and ensure that a Christian intervention is successful.
